Mystery shrouds this shirt and all we have to go on are photos and a blurry YouTube video, not much else is really know about it.

What does make this unusual is we first debuted this shirt in 1992 away at Bristol Rovers who play in blue and white and it wouldn't be until New Years Day 1994 that we wore it again against West Bromich Albion.

The only similarities between this seasons impromptu design and the red one from 88/89 are that both seasons we only had a white home shirt and a blue away shirt.

There was a difference between both strips in that in its second outing, the shorts used were different and appear to be made by Umbro.  

​

This shirt was never for sale in the club shop, if it was released as a retro version now I think it would go down well with fans.
